The Granite State Zoo provides entertaining and enlightening outreach public education throughout New England.
We bring the ZOO to you!
We strongly believe that animals born in the wild should remain in the wild. To that end, we are actively involved and partnered with a variety of conservation, captive animal rescue and release programs and agencies. Each of our animal ambassadors come to us from rescue situations, or were bred in captivity.
Our ultimate goal is to build and maintain a unique multifaceted educational and entertaining public complex, right here in the state of New Hampshire. We are working to create a facility with an amazing array of services for our visitors, a “forever home” for our animal ambassadors, and an optimal showcase for an exchange of knowledge about biodiversity and environmental stewardship.
Currently, the Granite State Zoo’s facility is not open to the general public. If you would like to see, or help develop a public Zoo facility in the state of New Hampshire, please consider supporting us, as we work toward that goal!
Our volunteer Board of Directors and staff is very dedicated to the care and well being of our Animal Ambassadors and retired residents. We are united in our determination to improve the lives of our animal partners and their species still living in the wild.
